Actually the first gunshots were on the roof across the street from me on Lincoln Place celebrating the New Year. And i'm not using a metaphor -- some @ssholes shoot their pistols off every year.

idiots don't realize bullets come right back down. for their celebrations what is this the 3rd world where they don't understand the basic gravity.

When it is not New Years, some troubled teenagers use guns much like the kids in my high school used fire alarms.

While my classmates used to pull alarms and then run away giggling when they heard the fire engines coming, these kids fire a gun in the air, and then walk just far enough away to see their opponents (the police) drive around looking dumb.

Once they are adults, I imagine these same kids shooting their guns off only on special occasions ...like New Years, or when they perceived being "dissed".
