Accident? Eastern Pkwy. Nostrand
Anybody know what happened on Eastern Parkway and Nostrand in the evening a few nights back? I came home maybe around 7pm or so and the police were everywhere, the street was completely blocked off. Turned on the news and saw nothing going on in Crown Heights. Figured someone would mention the events here, but not finding anything.
Seemed like a pretty big deal to close off the street. Maybe a traffic accident? Thanks for the info.

If you mean Thursday night, yes it was a car accident. I wasn't there; just read about it online the next day. Apparently a driver ran the light on Eastern Parkway, hitting three other cars -- one of which burst into flames killing the driver. http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/brooklyn/driver-killed-fiery-brooklyn-crash-police-officer-heroic-efforts-article-1.1001743
