Nice summary DanielJ!!

What's fun is the correlation between the ratio of women to men in a given neighborhood, and the rate of crime in a given neighborhood.
For example, Park Slope's ratio of women to men is about 50/50, and it has a low crime rate. However, in neighborhoods with high crime rates, women usually outnumber men.
Favorite bad conclusion: Based on only this information, one could hypothesize that women are the reason for the crimes, and that in areas where women outnumber men, crime soars.

Well, based upon what I've seen in the street, a great deal of crime is either
1)Women fighting over men
2)Men fighting over women
3)Men doing dumb stuff to impress women
4)Women doing dumb stuff to impress menIt seems to me that 1 & 4 happen when there are significantly more women than men and 2 & 3 when there are significantly more men than women.

Spending a lot on arts programming also seems to be inversely related to crime.
Perhaps we should have gender exclusive neighborhoods that spend lots on art?
