  • I am a block away and have power.

  • I can provide many more details. ;) Yes, I think the workers were not Con Ed, although I wasn't paying THAT much attention this morning. Maybe Verizon. Rohan might know. The power outage is extremely local. All lights in the hallway are out, along with apparently some outlets on the "A" side. "B" side power seems totally unaffected. Con Ed said it would be back by 1am.

  • they probably just messup one line along the power line. new electric lines has two lines going into the house.

  • !@##$ ever.

Called them about this power outage thing. they said they were sending someone. went over there to get name and permit of the crew working next to my building. it is a coned subcontractor called vali. with coned names and numbers on their form crossed out. so i called to let them know they who was doing electrical work and what time i should except coned to come, because most likely bell isn't working either.

they were like oh nobody is coming. i'm like umm you didn't bother to call me to let me know this? they were like oh you have to get a electrician to confirm its outside problem not inside. i'm like you couldn't of told me this? how could i find someone this last min and this late???? if i didn't call you guys you would never let me know this and think someone would be coming to night.

!@#$% A!@#$# worst customer service ever.

they still owe me a week+ of credits and flooding from the hole they drilled along time ago in the basement.

credit was all day appointments for their meters to be install for more than a week. they kept telling me someone is coming for sure tomorrow. tomorrow came and than tomorrow. this was for 7 meters. they did with almost ever meter.

So their operator told me today if its the outside that's the problem, they'll pay the electrician. i'm like sure right. you guys still owe me and doubt they'll pay them and i'll end up paying the electrician. i told me how bout you guys send someone over and if its the inside i'll pay for it. and if its outside they could fix it on the spot.

simply because their credit isn't good. they still owe me.

  • electrician was here for less than 5 mins stuck probes in the two 110 lines and goes one of them doesn't have power.

he calls coned and coned says they'll fix it to night. and I'm out some money for 5 mins of work.

So would coned reimburse me for their side problem. since they weren't willing to send out anyone to check out the problem.

they said on the phone they would but that was yesterday, before this confirmation of what i told them.

also luck happens i'm the only house it seems to have this problem. the work that was being done was next to me but next building over. no problems there.

if there was more than one house they'll probably send someone over without me hiring a electrician.

i swear i hate them, they made me like feel like a idiot.

by telling me its mostly a inside problem how come come nobody else has this problem etc.. I'm like shouldn't you know your own subcontractors are doing work that effected my building. but off course they don't know.

I hope these jerks keep their word on fixing the problem tonight.

  • There is a red coned emergency truck outside right now in front of the auto repair store. I live in the area and just walked my dog past it.

  • lets hope they can fix it :p. thanks for the info. tenant also just txt too.

  • apparently it was a temp fix. man i gots to get up super early tomorrow and wait for them to fix it for real this time :(.

they just jump power from the working 110 v inside the building to the one that isn't working.

  • dudes actually showed up on time, 8am appointment.

you gotta be kidding me coned you have to gain access/permission from your subcontractors to the lines below. didn't you notice this other day when you were bridging the lines at my house. seeing the barriers on top of the metal grate that is covering the electrical work that was being done by vali?

So basically you wasted my morning to tell me you can't permanently fix the problem, till you get access. geee don't you own that to begin with and gave access to those subcontractors. instead you have to call in hq and get hq to call vali etc.. to gain access..

now i guess we'll have to make another appointment for another day to fix this.... what a waste of time. I doubt you'll pay me still for the electrician that i had to hire. monopoly bastards.

  • they have supposedly fix it today. So i hope i don't get any surprise tenant calls tonight.
