I am intrigued by PODS and would definitely check out prices for that if you have a cube's worth of stuff.

Some friends on a really tight budget used ABS a couple of years ago for a long distance move and I think they were happy with it. Depending on how far you are going, it can take a while to get your stuff, though.

I had great luck with eMove for my Chicago to NYC move (and used them again for an in-town move). The website is: emove.com. I think they are connected to UHaul in some way. Basically, you book a UHaul truck, and do your own packing and driving, but then, through the eMove site, hire labor on both ends to help with the loading/unloading. I had really good experiences with the labor, and the prices were incredibly reasonable. There are reviews for each of the movers which are helpful. If you can drive it yourself, this is a great option - there's no wait on either end for your stuff, and if you don't have a ton of things to move, you can just rent a small UHaul.
