FREE DENTAL EXAMS - Sunday January 8th, 10am - 2pm - NYU College of Dentistry Doctors from the New York University College of Dentistry (NYUCD) will be offering Free Dental Exams at the Kings Bay Y at Windsor Terrace.

Ages 3 and Up! Minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

- Each exam will be 10 - 12 minutes long.

- Everyone must RSVP for a time slot prior to visit.

- Each patient will receive a report as well as a free tooth brush/tooth paste.

Tot Shabbat

Tot Shabbat is a unique program designed for families with young children. Sing, dance, listen to stories, watch puppets and participate in games celebrating the magic of Shabbat family traditions.

Being a parent is a challenging and all encompassing commitment. Add adoption to the mix and things get a bit more complex. Find out how others have handled "sticky" situations, found support in their communities, "walked the walk," and "talked the talk." At the get-togethers, adults and children have the opportunity to learn, laugh, and socialize without worrying someone will say something insensitive about adoption or your family.

New Workshop Series with the Art of Parenting!

Helping Parents Address Meltdowns (of children 5 and under)



In this two-part workshop we will:

Define meltdowns and address parents' feelings about them.

Discuss avoiding meltdowns with preventive techniques.

Recognize triggers: at home, with siblings, outside, with peers.

Name and successfully use resources to prevent and diffuse meltdowns.

For the first time, Ohel Ayalah and the Kings Bay Y at Windsor Terrace are collaborating on running a Passover seder.

It will take place on Friday night April 6, the first night of the holiday, at our location. The seder is reaching out to families with children, but is open to all. It will be led by Amanda Pogany, an experienced Jewish educator, who will create a traditional yet contemporary seder, one that will meet the needs of both adults and children. This seder will aim to satisfy those who have been going to seders all their lives and also those for whom the seder is new.

Brooklyn Seder fees: Adults, $30 p/p; children 3-12 years old, $10 per child; children under 3 who sit on a parent's lap, no charge.

Wednesday, March 28th - Join Juguemos a Cantar at the Kings Bay Y at Windsor Terrace for Spanish Immersion classes for toddlers.

The children will learn Spanish through structured playtime, music, art, stories and games. School age children will focus more on conversational Spanish as well as reading and writing. We offer these classes in sessions, please refer to schedule for details.

National Autism Awareness Month Carnival and Picnic

April is National Autism Awareness Month. The Kings Bay Y at Windsor Terrace would like to invite you to an afternoon of music, games, food, prizes and great company; and all for a great cause! We’ll be hosting a free carnival-themed picnic from 11am-1pm on April 21st.

Carnival style activities include: horseshoes, mini golf, can toss, BINGO, races, face painting, raffles, arts & crafts and more!

Entrance is FREE!

Help us raise awareness for Autism. We will be selling food, raffle tickets, and awareness bracelets to raise money for Autism charity.
