Need boring photo taken

I need to get a picture taken for my job's website. Nothing fancy, just me against that standard blah blue/gray portrait background. I have no idea where to go/call for this. Any ideas? I also don't know how much is reasonable. Guidance, please and thanks!

Is your job paying? I'm surprised they don't just hire a photographer to make it consistent.

In Park Slope you should be able to throw a stone in any direction and hit three freelance photographers. And now that the ubiquity of digital photography has eliminated many "professional" photography jobs, you should be able to get headshots quite reasonably (maybe $100-200 for a session depending how involved you want to get).

I choose seahorse. Bugs kinda skeeve me out. Though me sitting magic-carpet style atop a cricket might make for an interesting pic, too. Hmm.

Thanks all. I, uh, was actually worried I'd manage to offend the more artistic photographers I know of by asking for such a shot. Work is paying but turnover is so minimal here that they don't have anyone they regularly use.
