Western CH has gotten much better, but (based on last week) it continues to be not be a place one where one can reliably use their laptop on their stoop.
-
If enough people simply hands things over when asked, I'm not surprised that other people continue to ask for them.
-
Life is a bumpy road, but -in the long run- individuals who are like the former laptop owner tend to come out ahead of individuals like the new laptop owners. For example:
As members of the first group get older, they often go to places like the Adirondacks and the Catskills to have relaxing vacations.
If members of the second group get older, they often go to places like the Adirondacks and the Catskills to spend time in prison.
