Sadly there was also a shooting last night at St. Johns and Kingston. Didn't see any news about it but it was roped off with police tape this morning and one of the local store owners said it happened around midnight and that the victim lived. The SOS response for that one is tomorrow: http://www.soscrownheights.org/2012/03/shooting-response-march-21st-6-pm-at.html

Yes, it seems to have happened around midnight. Here's the Gothamist report for shooting described by NothinLikeABklynGirl:

Two of tonight's shootings took place in SOS's catchment area, and I'll post the flyers for the responses here once they create them.Note: The details on these shootings will evolve as time goes on.....

The media reports are starting to trickle in:
Shooting #2:
An 18-year-old man was shot four times at St. Marks and Schenectady Avenue.Shooting #4:
A 15-year-old boy was shot in the knee at Bergen Street and Troy Avenue.WABC notes the shootings happened just minutes apart, and both are expected to survive.

http://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/local/Teens-Shot-Crown-Heights-Brooklyn-St-Johns-Park-143591146.html
No reports yet on shootings #1 or #3.
Also, #4 doesn't appear to be "four people were shot" as initially "tweeted" by Gothamist.
-
Now that some time has passed, shootings #1 and #3 appear to be duplicate reports of #2 and #4.
The "unedited, raw" nature is among the reasons why the Gothamist map is useful, but not completely reliable.
So, let's return to shootings #2 and #4.
Contrary to the initial reports that both teens were expect to live, one has died.

i call shenanigans,
its poor peoples way of welcoming spring. gun shots are just cheaper fire works!! -
There were two people shot in the vicinity of St. John's Rec center. Multiple locations were reported but only two people shot. One of those victims was transported to the hospital where he died from the injuries.
The night before there were two people shot. One person was shot in the Kingsboro 6 Walk and approx 1 hour later a person was shot at St. Johns and Kingston. Both of those victims survived and an arrest was made very quickly on the Kingsboro shooting.

BTW, (as promised) SOS is doing a shooting response on Friday, March 23rd for the shootings that happened on March 20th. Here's the flyer:
Here's the email:
Dear Community Members,
We are saddened to inform you that on Wednesday evening, two teenagers from our neighborhood were shot outside of St. John's park. An 18-year-old boy was fatally wounded, and a 15-year-old boy was injured. Please come together with us to respond to this tragedy and to ask our community to put down the guns.
We will gather to respond from 6 PM to 6:30 PM on Friday, March 23rd at the corner of Schenectady Avenue and Prospect Place.
We respond to every shooting that occurs in the S.O.S. target area to ensure that these tragedies do not pass unremarked as though they are normal and acceptable. We create a safe space on our streets, at the site of the shooting, where neighborhood residents can raise their voices in protest.
In Peace,
Save Our Streets Crown Heights
Stop Shooting. Start Living.P.S. Our Barbecue that was scheduled for Saturday, March 24th is postponed; please save the dates for our annual Arts to End Violence Festival (May 19-25), and Increase the Peace Week (June 2-10).
See you there?
