Bodega kitties
I hope this topic hasn't been done to death at some point, I don't remember. Anyway, the guys at the bodega (or convenience store or whatever the term of your choice may be -- let's not rehash THAT one again!) at Bergen and Underhill have had, for about three or four weeks I think, the kee-yootest little kitten that they took in as a stray and named Samira. (edited to fix her name, which I'd gotten wrong)
Usually when I'm in there she's either nowhere to be seen or tearing around play-attacking people's ankles, but this afternoon I went in and she was curled up asleep on the counter. The guy working there said she'd played hard all morning and tried to wake her up for me to pet her, so I said, "It's okay, let her sleep. Being a kitten's hard work!" She's part Siamese, and has the typical Siamese markings and blue eyes, but her feet are white. TOTALLY adorable.
It's nice to see one of the neighborhood's many strays taken in by a local business, too.
Any other noteworthy bodega kitties in the 'hood?

I am also a BIG fan of that kitten, and I know stacey is, too. It's also really adorable how proud of the kitten the guys who work there are. I stopped there once with my husband to pick something up on the way to a friend's place, and when I expressed interest in her, they immediately told me her name and started saying how cute she is. As if I needed them to tell me that!

There is a really cute one at the bodega at Lincoln & Underhill. He was tiny earlier this year, and is now growing up. I think I'd be happy being a bodega kitty.[/i]

....last night, around midnight or so, she was out on the sidewalk chasing blowing leaves. It was great. -

There is also a mad cute lil' one at the bodega on St. Johns and Washington. I think his name is Ricky. He also attacks ankles, so watch out!

The black and white bodega cat from the As oci ted on Underhill and St Johns is all over the neighborhood. I saw that cat over on Underhill and Prospect the other day!

I want to give a shout-out to Tiny, the sweet tabby boy in the bodega on Washington between Sterling and St Johns (but closer to Sterling). He's blind in one eye and super friendly. I worry about him though, because he could just dart out their open door sometime and into the traffic on Washington.
