anybody just hear all that? sounds like coming from vicinity of bk museum

    Was just wondering the same thing -- so many bangs so close together must hopefully mean fireworks? It is first Saturday. But would be very relieved to hear more concrete confirmation if anyone knows more.

    I feel like it's gunshots only because the sounds seem to be coming from different places, and at different distances. At first it seemed like fireworks -- now I'm not so sure. The sound of a cop car siren makes me wonder, also...

    I'm at Sterling and Franklin and they were VERY loud. sounded like they were North-East of me...boyfriend thinks they are gunshots, I thought they were fireworks. Any news??

    Looked out my window at Sterling and Washington to investigate the noise and I saw fireworks. They were northeast of my location (maybe Park and Classon).

    BTW, at the moment (11:30), the museum just has people milling about after First Saturday. ...there is no massive police presence like one would expect after a shooting.

    I heard it, and contented myself that it was not just simple bangs but rather bangs and kind of a subsequent fizzing sound like you would get with fireworks. I also figured with that many gunshots you'd be hearing yelling and screaming.

    I concur with Biscuit. I heard all the bangs and looked out the window to see fireworks (about 11pm on Sat Jun 2, 2012). And I also concur that they somewhere around Park & Classon or further east of Classon.
