Dentist help?

So I need to make an emergency appointment for tomorrow and wondering if anybody has a great local dentist recommend? I need someone who can squeeze me in ASAP and since I'm not insured won't try to take advantage.

Thanks in advance!

  • No idea on how easy it will be to get in, but Robert Rosenkranz on 3rd St near 8th Ave is a great dentist with a great staff. I never thought I'd have such strong opinions on a dentist, but I love this place. If they can't get you in, they might be able to give you good recommendations on who else to call.

  • Yeah I go to Rosenkranz too, did a filling for me a month ago. Great people there very professional.

  • Thanks! My internet snooping brought his name up along with great reviews. Nice to see him endorsed here as well. I got in first thing in the morning the day after I posted this. He's awesome!

  • I wish I had heard about him earlier!

Can you guys recommend a good oral surgeon? I think I may need to get my wisdom teeth removed and the place my dentist sent me to gave me a Jan 10th appointment just for an evaluation. I don't think I can wait that long.

Looking for a very gentle, caring dr, like the one described above.

    Thanks!

  • For an oral surgeon, I highly recommend Dr. John McIntyre - he's over at One Hansen Place

Also want to give a shout out to the Dental Spa of NY on 5th Avenue for general dentistry.

  • Can someone suggest an oral surgeon who takes United Healthcare Community Plan?

I went elsewhere for my wisdom teeth but now I need something else done. Dr. McIntyre apparently doesn't accept it. I need someone really gentle, please! Thank you!

  • Rosenkranz might have an oral surgeon. Is that who does root canals? If so, he had the guy come into his office to do it and I was happy with everything (as much as you can be about a root canal).

You can call to ask and if they don't have one, ask who they send patients to.

  • Another vote here for Dr. Rosenkranz! I too had a root canal Chez Rosenkranz, DDS, and the person he brought in to do it was really good (all things considered).

  • Love Dr. Rosenkranz. Has been my dentist for the last 4 years. He is very friendly and fair.

Had a root canal there and it was a big fail. Forgot the Dr. that performed it but it wasn't Rosenkranz. I needed to have it pulled a little less than a year after it was done. Oh well!

For an Oral surgeon I would recommend Paul Baker at 805 Union Street. He was patient, super sweet, explained everything and even called me later that evening to see how I was feeling. I never felt a thing...as an aside...I got novocaine and the laughing gas....best thing EVER!!

  • Paul Baker +1

My wife uses Garden Dental Arts Clinton Hill and thinks they do a fine job. They might have an opening during the week.
