Sweet kitty dumped on St. Marks (Underhill/Washington)
Well, I've found someplace to donate my extra cat food, but it's a sad excuse. Someone has dumped a very, very sweet and affectionate black and white kitty near the parking lot on St. Marks btw Underhill and Washington. (It's not the lost cat Boy; I already talked to them.) This cat is not living near nor acting like the local feral cats. I feel pretty certain it was previously an indoor cat that was dumped. ![]()
If anyone has any idea of what to do, please contact me. I have an extra carrier and can help catch it.

There are also ads up for _another_ lost B&W cat I've seen around. Perhaps on Underhill and Sterling? I'll get you the number if you'd like.

I have seen the signs, too. It's for a black/white tuxedo cat (most black with white whiskers and some white). Does the cat look like that? I have seen signs for this cat on St. Johns and Underhill. I can get the number for you. It does sound like either a dumped or missing cat. I can probably find a foster home for it if needed. Just let me know. But hopefully it is the missing cat.

Thanks guys. Can someone post a pic of the sign or something? A friend and I are going to try to catch it tonight--she works with a rescue. It is so friendly that I think it will be easy to catch.
ETA: This cat has a side pattern that looks just like Boy, but Boy is gray (they told me). It also has a similar pattern on its face only its nose is black.

This tuxedo cat by the parking lot is chubby. I have seen it hanging around in the AM around people by the lot, but only recently (unlike the dark grey/black cat on Underhill that is always hanging around). I am on cat patrol ever since the Boy posting so I knew it was not Boy since he looked skinny in his pic and a slightly different coloring.

Yeah, the guy by the parking lot seems to be new. There have always been ferals there but they mind their own business.

He won't last long on the street if he is unfamiliar with the environment, will either be run over, scared away, catch an illness or attacked. He needs rescue. So get out your carrier and get him to go in, if he wont let you pick him up and put him in you may be able to lure him with treats. Get him to a vet to get them to scan for a microchip to find out if he has an owner - he may have been stolen and dumped - I've heard of a few lousy neighbors who do this when an indoor-outdoor kitty poops in their yard.
Once he is safe indoors if no chip put up on Tabby Tracker and Petfinder and even Craigslist when, where and description of kitty and ask responders to send you a pic to compare it to kitty so you can avoid bunchers, dealers and collectors.
If in 2 weeks you have no leads as to prior home then contact local rescued who may have room for a friendly, healthy kitty. Do NOT bring him to the city shelter AC&C or ASPCA as they dump at the AC&C. Try smaller rescues who can help like Sean Casey, BARC, KittyKind, City Critters, Mighty Mutts, there are tons out there!
You can't change the world but you can change the world for this kitty.

I went out with my friend this evening and caught him! At first he was having an uncharacteristic moment of shyness (bad timing!) and I had to leave to meet my friend for dinner, but she stuck around quietly for 15 minutes and he came out. She works with some rescue (not sure which) so she probably knows all this stuff, but I'll check in with her tomorrow. In the meantime, if somebody sees that non-Boy poster and can post a pic, that would be great--just to double check. It turns out to be a neutered male, tuxedo with a black nose.

This may not be the cat. The poster for the other cat (my phone has no camera) shows a mostly black cat with white paws and lower half of the face white. Phone number is 347-448-1423

Alas, it's not that cat, but I'm glad we checked. Here is Pinkerton! Please pass this on.

saw him the other day, poor cat he just stood there why some trucks honk at him to move it and he was just purring at and siting on his hind legs. I was like cute hitler cat!! anyway he does look like a previous indoor cat. too bad i'm allergic to cats.
-
he also look like spock from mirror world.
-
Armchair warrior even if you are allergic to kitty's you can save his life - he can stay in a bathroom or spare room for a night and you can take him to a rescue who can help him, just not the AC&C or the ASPCA who will dump at the AC&C.

Oh my gosh, he is adorable! I had heard about this cat from someone else but never saw him myself. If you need help finding him a home please PM me. I have some contacts that can help. Thank you so much for helping this little man!
