Regarding my high horse eastbloc, other than beseeching I get off it, you offer no cogent rebuttal to the points I make. And, implicit in your response is that I am a racist, or, if I am not a racist, I am definitely going to try and raise my child/children as racist. Which, if you dig a little deeper, means your are implying that I am a racist.

I am not a racist. A racist holds hatred in his heart for a social construct, which itself is illusory and ironically quite real.

And, if you dig even a little deeper what you are saying is that Pan Africanism -- it too a social construct that led to the liberation of enslaved and colonialised peoples on continental Africa and in the African Diaspora -- is racist, which it is not. And, by default you are saying that Black Nationalism, an ethos derived from Pan-Africanism is also a racist philosophy -- which it is not.

I could assume that you are purposely trying to smear these two ideologies as racist so as to smother honest dialogue about how philosophy, ideology encounter each other in the banal - i.e. life in Crown Heights -- but I am instead going to PRESUME that you have no idea what Pan Africanism and Black Nationalism are, so in your ignorance you broadbrush my perspective by calling it racist. Dearie, to quote our fallen soldier Flavor Flave in 'She Watch Channel Zero, '...Read a book or somethin'!'

MHA, Wouldn't it be weird if white hipsters were celebrating black nationalism and building a black family?

It was interesting to hear your perspective though. I definitely think that is part of it.

As an aside, have you noticed how hip hop culture has incorporated lots of emo/hipster dress, such as trucker hats and skinny jeans? I'm not exactly sure when that started. They would never wear that shit in the 90s.

MHA, you're as racist as Hitler. In fact, your particular ideology resembles Nazi thought very closely, not too surprising since "nationalism" figures prominently in the labels which you have just ascribed to yourself.

Hitler, too, was obsessed with the idea of blaming another race for all the ill that had befallen Germany. Like you, he saw insidious behavior in all that the Jews were doing -- running industry, finance, banks, taking special privileges for themselves, drinking the blood of gentiles, etc.

Unlike you, he then hatched a genocidal plot to seize power and advance these racist interests. But those just made him a warmonger and a murderer on top of being a racist. That describes his ideas more than his actions.

(And no, it doesn't matter whether the ideas in question are held by those in the majority or in positions of authority, or by an actual minority. Let's just preempt that old canard.)

You're a prize racist, MHA. You've just manage to intellectualize it all, which allows you to prevaricate about it as if it was a valid political ideology and not a sad, angry, alienated corner of your mind.
