Rotten news.
The great kid who worked the grill at Bonnie's died last weekend. You can go by the restaurant to pick up his mom's address if you want to send a card.

Who was Brandon? The tall kid with dark hair and blue eyes. He made the best burgers; he was funny and pleasant and cool. I'm really sad he's gone, and that has nothing to do with dinner . . .

  • That's sad. What happened to him?
  • Oh damn. That's terrible news.
  • Yep. He was lovely. I'll miss him.
  • I've never been there and don't know who he was, but when somebody says a "kid" died.............what happened? was he ill or was it an accident?

That is really devastating. He worked nearly every night and was very freindly. I never knew his name but sat at his counter many times.
  • Please let him rest in peace.... not to be discussed on this message board... Please

I think it should stay. We don't need to know how he died in order to know that there's a way to offer condolences to his family, as mentioned in the original post.
  • I'm not sure I see a problem with publicly commemorating a guy who obviously made a positive impression on a lot of people in Park Slope. If Brandon's relatives have a specific objection to this thread, then we would be happy to hear them out. We can't really give any weight to an anonymously posted comment that doesn't explain why people should stop saying positive things about a Park Sloper who was in the public eye.
