Hi Patsy,
Remember what I said last week about TRUANTS. Boy do we have a list of no shows. Unlike school, we have no way of insisting that people come here to the blog. There are a few of us regulars left but that is about it. Perhaps when Facebook goes belly up (their stock is in the toilet) some will come back on here???? -
HI WARREN..
TRUANTS IS RIGHT. LOL
I HOPE EVERYDAY SOME MORE PEOPLE WILL COME ON.
OH WELL..I AM NOW 'THE QUEEN' :queen: OF THE BLOG.
MY CUZ LOST HER TITLE.. LOL
LOVE YA, CUZ.XX
WARREN.. HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND :flower: -
Hail to the new Queen. :queen: Planning a quiet weekend. Carol enjoyed her birthday yesterday. Took her out to dinner last night. Each of our kids contacted her with cards & calls along with a nephew and a neice to wish her a happy birthday. She also got birthday wishes from our insurance agent, Holland America lines,Seminole Casino and me! :sunny:

Hi-beautiful day here today-in the 70's..took Cody for his haircut & bath..Warren-keep those stories coming..really interesting...nothing set in stone but my brother from NJ trying to talk me into moving to Florida...maybe next year..kinda nervous but excited..we'll see what happens..he's looking near Naples (I heard it was nice) but I also heard Clearwater Beach was nice too..any suggestions, Warren? I think it took 2 weeks to get through one page of this blog? Is everyone on vacation or did everyone desert the blog permanently? bye
-
Terry, glad to see you on here. I was beginning to think you deserted us!
Anna, Florida is a very long fairly narrow state. The Naples area is on the West coast and it is one of the most southern parts of the west coast. A litle warmer there then the middle or northern part of the state. The most Northern is quite cool in the winter. There a tons of places all over and especially places for people over 55 years of age. If you start looking anywhere in Florida find out what the rules are. Some places can be very restrictive for pets and children. The lower East coast of Florida has a lot of people from the Northeast. Especially from NY. The area of the west coast I live in (The Tampa Bay Area) has people from all over but especially from the midwest. It takes a lot of research to decide what part of Florida to live in and it depends on personal taste.
-
I would say Naples is a more expensive and probably nicer place. Clearwater is practically all Scientology...
Hi everyone,
Spending a quiet day at home with my son's little Yorkie Lily.
Everyone is working or in Atlantic city. -
Warren,
I did not leave. It s such a pain to get back on. they used to send me an email when people posted and I would just click on it and get on. They changed that too. Hope all is well. Never went back to read everything.
Love to all.....Yes facebook stock is down. lol -
Hi-thanks Warren for the advice..I've been researching this for the last week..I would like to live on the west coast of Florida-near the beach..will continue my search..my brother suggested Del Webb and has 2 agents looking around already..he's renovating his house & it may take about 6 months for that alone..he might build something down there (big enough for my kids & his kids to go down there)..we'll see how it goes..Terry-glad you're back on...enjoy your Sunday....bye
-

BUSY MORNONG.. HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT DAY!!
:flower: -
Hello, Don't think we are at the bottom of the page so I won't have to wait till tomorrow to see this entry. That is what happened yesterday.
Memories Memories. I was thinking back to the days of real radio. Not only did I listen to many, many, shows & ball games butI went to see some of them in Manhatten. I saw Quick as a flash, The Shadow, Juvenile Jury, Carmen Cavellero, Kate Smith, Robert Merrill, Paul Whiteman, Crime Doctor, Land of the Lost, Name that Tune, etc:. I used to listen to Red Barber & Connie Desmond announce the BROOKLYN Dodger games. They could paint a picture of the game with their voices. In High School (Manual) I took a course entitled "Radio English". I was the sound effect man and also played the part of a CAT in a radio play we performed in the Auditorium. Then came TV and it ruined everything. I saw Arthur Godfrey in the what is now called the Ed Sullivan Theater. Between the Cameras, lights and other equipment you could not see very much! The Shadow was sponsered by Koppers Coke. Crime Doctor was sponsered by Phillip Morris and Jonnie Cookson was in his Bell Hop uniform Shouting "Call For Phillip Morris". Back then there was ONE sponsor, not 42 like there are now. Memories, Memories. :-k

Good Morning All.
Have a great day -
Hi Cuzzie,
Was such a pain to get back on but I finally did it...lol -
Hello All,
Patsy, Carol & I are doing pretty well. I got one of my test results today & it was good news. Carol awaiting her blood work results. I have an appointment with the cardiologist Thursday, Carol with her Gastro guy Friday. Next week we both see our Primary Doc but on different days. I also have an appointment with my Urologist and Carol has one with our Radiologist. We practically live in Doctors offices.
Terry, I do not understand why you are having so much trouble getting on here. I just type in my User name & password and go right in. My biggest gripe is that when you make an entry and it is the bottom of the page, it takes a full day to show up. Do you think your problem might be because you are using an Apple computer?
