  • It is a shame the streak was broken.

Damn, we had been up to 80-something days without a shooting in this part of CH, according to the SOS count.

Somebody was shot about a week ago @Sterling Plc and Rochester Ave.

  • SOS's catchment area stops at Utica to the east, so the shooting on Rochester didn't affect its count. Still, I'm sorry to hear about it.

  • I told you so.... Watch out Nigerian dude. Black male life is cheap in these here parts. We kill each other, and people who look like us. CTK's self exile not withstanding, Black on Black violence is at an all time high.

  • Another shooting today:

  • Interesting, usually there would be a whole load of cop cars rushing to the scene and I didn't hear or see a thing and I'm less than two blocks away on St. Johns.

  • Dear S.O.S. Supporters,

We are saddened to inform you that there has been another shooting in the S.O.S. catchment area. On Monday, August 27th, a man was shot on St. John's Place between Utica Ave and Schenectady Ave in broad daylight. Thankfully it was not fatal. We must come together as a community to raise our voices against gun violence. Please join S.O.S. today, August 29th, at 5pm for a shooting response at the location of the shooting.

    In peace,

     - the S.O.S./CHCMC team

  • At approx. 2:00 am, today, another person was shot @ St John's and Schenectady. There was also somebody shot there a week ago. That "victim" happened to be carrying a large quantity of crack.

  • Drug activity does appear to be quite rampant.

All those little thumb nail size plastic bags....
