    Agreed! :D
  • I got an everything bagel with olive cream cheese at La Bagel today. Cost $3.24, there was about half the amount of cream cheese there should have been (I took the top off and ate the bottom half), and the spread didn't have enough olives in it. :x

I've never tried La Bagel, but it didn't look that promising. And it's so close to Bagel Hole. Why not just walk the extra few blocks?
  • I know I'm lame, but, er, where's the Bagel Hole again?

7th Ave and 13th St. It's got to be the nearest bagel place to you!

It is! Perfect! I'm still getting used to living on 13th street rather than 3rd street.

There's actually a "Bagels & Wraps" place that's closer but it's Not Good.
  • Believe it or not, Cafe Shane has good bagels. Much better than those fake-ass bagels at Tom's.
  • I had to go down to the marshall's office on Court and 9th. After I was done I went inside the bagel store on Smith and 9th (I forget the name) I have to tell you that the garlic bagel is pretty good. They toasted it for me and put a ton of butter on it. it was crispy crunchy on the outside and semi chewy on the inside and more importantly it had flavor.

    Sounds pretty tasty!

Ha if I am not mistaken, that was the place that was called F Line Bagels and they used the actual look of the "F" from the subway train. MTA sued them for infringment and they had to change the name - I think they kept the awning up with no name at all and thats probably why you dont remember the name. :)
  • Having been directed over here from yet another bagel thread, I'm reviving this one with the factoid that the Co-op bagels come from Terrace.

    Best!

g'friend and I were just plotting to get our local deli to carry them instead of the rotters they sell...

(btw the whitefish salad at Terrace is triple yum)
  • Has anyone tried the new Bagel Cafe on washington?
