The fascinating thing about videos like this, to me, is how they give up their game, how they're explicit about things more polished commentators rarely come out and say explicitly: the right-winger in this video offers right out that he's opposed to democracy. It angers him that he has to deal with the consequences of people voting. It's similar to a position Bill O'Reilly and others have taken on Fox recently, but even more explicit here. I can think of little more anti-American than being opposed to democracy.

While I would like to believe most Americans are committed to democracy, I don't view being opposed to democracy as being anti-American.

Like most abstract concepts, America (and Americans) most support Democracy when it meets our ends.

You may have have heard the lyric that goes "You can't go against nature, that's part of nature too".

A similar truth applies to democracy and rights: We all like our rights, but dislike those of others.

We have a world in which we have varying degrees of power. When we expect people with more power than us to agree to democracy, we are asking that they engage in altruism.

My world view does not allow for altruism.
