PS9 Election Day Food Sale — Brooklynian

PS9 Election Day Food Sale

edited November -1 in Prospect Heights

Voting at PS 9? Buy your meal there, too.

On Tuesday, PS 9 will be [b]serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks and snacks to hungry voters, with proceeds going to support our arts and academic programming and to help make up the $160k loss of federal funding we experienced in June. (We still have $100k to go to cover this year!)

Please plan to have your pre- or post-voting meals or snacks with us. Our community is busy baking and cooking a multicultural feast for you!

(Note: PS 9 will be organizing a Hurricane Sandy response, but our principal plans to have the students help generate and vote on ideas Monday, so in the meantime, please check out other local efforts. One good place for info is Occupy Sandy: http://interoccupy.net/occupysandy/ )

  • This was an amazing food sale! There were many delicious things to buy, and it raised a lot of money for our school.

  • I can safely say it's my own personal tradition to buy something at the bake sale after I have voted. This year's was the best yet. Great job!

  • Was it the turkey chili? My wife made that.
