Murder suspect escapes from 78th precinct

Apparently he wasn't in custody for if he was, he wouldn't have escaped.
-
he was connected with that brutal murder in park slope couple years back, where a gang of gents beat a man to death with a crow bar.

Clearly, I have unreasonable expectations when it comes to cops, because I would never think "If I can just get him to let me out of handcuffs, I can knock him down and run out of the building".
I'd expect to have 15 people jumping on me and beating the crap out of me in about 2.5 seconds.

Escaping the police is not incredibly rare. Watch this guy do it, despite the best efforts of the police to get and keep him in custody:

Maybe if pretty much all on duty officers weren't stationed in Prospect Park, this wouldn't have happened.
