Outreach Volunteers Sought

chca wrote: The Crow Hill Community Association is excited to be planning a community-wide town hall meeting on Saturday, March 23rd, from noon to 3:00pm at PS 22. We see this as an opportunity to talk about the future of our community, and we want everyone’s voices to be heard.

We are in need of volunteers to go door to door and help get the word out.

Please email Lisha Bai at [email protected] if you are interested in signing up for a 2 block radius for this Saturday or Sunday, March 16th/17th.

We will be sending out volunteers in groups of two, with flyers to distribute. Also, please spread the word to your personal network of friends and neighbors; we would love to reach as many people as possible.

Thanks for your help and support!

  • Yesterday, I saw a few signs along Washington Avenue.

For example, I saw one in Brothers Barbershop (806 Washington) while I had my hair cut.

  • I know its going to be a kick ass meeting because, counting me, there were three people there a week early trying to get in.!

  • People who have problems with dates are welcome!

Yes, it should be interesting see how many people show up.

The organizers are clearly trying to get as many people as possible. Needless to say, I have gotten the announcements several times.

Here is an announcement I just got from the Franklin Avenue Merchants Association (FAMA):

We need your help to get the word out. Please participate by distributing the postcards and/or fliers for the event and posting a poster. We want everyone in the neighborhood to be aware of the event (and hopefully come). Reply to this email and we will deliver the materials you need to your store.

We also have 3 sandwich boards, advertising the meeting, that need a good home- If you are willing to adopt a board to put out on the avenue (and take in) everyday until the 24th- please reply to this email and let us know you are interested.

Thank you for supporting this community event
