Harry Tarzian died
Marybeth Tarzian wrote us to say:
My father, Harry Tarzian, passed away on Saturday. He is best known as the longtime proprietor of Tarzian Hardware, a 92-year-old Park Slope institution.
She sent his obit, a biography for his funeral service program, and links that tell more about him:

Sad news, my condolences go out to the family.

Back in the day when Park Slope stopped at 9th Street and we were working on our (rental) brownstone, Tazian's was Mecca for us. They had everything, including good advice, and were always open - or so it seemed. Many fond memories.
Howdy, Stranger!
