  • I hope this was well attended. My experience is that many families won't allow their teens to attend since the police will be there.

  • When I worked at a group home (a decade ago), the adolescents literally would not have their photos taken for the high school yearbook, because they knew that the police used copies of it to show crime victims.

    They feared that merely appearing in the book would cause them to be mis-identified by a victim, or correctly identified.

    ....As one looked thru the year book, one saw a very high percentage of black males had "no picture available" above their name.
