Old pictures of Franklin Ave — Brooklynian

Old pictures of Franklin Ave

So I am getting closer to opening Pulp and Bean on union St. I am in need of some pictures of Franklin Ave. From 80s, 70s, 60s or earlier. If you or someone you know has pictures that you would like to share and be seen and appreciated please contact me.

Thank You

  • I would order tax photos of the address. I did so a while back. Very good quality. You can order online and they will ship or you can collect them.

I think they were taken in the 30's and the 70's.

  • Why not post a sign in your shop window asking residents the same? I'm sure some old-schoolers will be more than happy to dig through their albums and work something out. Or, you could lift stills from movies like Dog Day Afternoon, The French Connection,The Warriors, The Landlord (1970), The Chosen and so on. Maybe it's not Franklin Avenue specifically, but at least it's Brooklyn back in the day.

I originally read this as you telling Whynot to post a sign...
