  • Rent: $6,200

  • For 4 roommates that's still $1,550 each. If I were able to afford that why wouldn't I just get my own place or just share with one other person than have to share with 3 other people? Maybe the place is that nice, but ugh, sharing with that many people is often not fun in the slightest.

Why does it seem like all the real estate listings on this board are hugely expensive?

ETA: I get why a family would want to live there and the price may be fair for the area, but advertising to roommates seems a little odd. You live with other people to save money right

  • At that price it might just last. Plus 3 months do at signing? Yeah I'll pass.

  • Four, you left out the broker fee.

  • For only $24,800 you can move in!

  • I think I'd live with my mother before I'd consider paying that kind of rent to live with three other people. I'd be embarrassed to tell people I pay $1550/mo and still have all those roommates. Doesn't appear to be a selling point to me.

  • We will be renting a 4 bedroom 2 bath in bed-stuy sometime next week and a few 1 br's and studios in PLG. sign up for more details www.prattarea.org (contact page).
