I know it attracts skateboarders, and the liability concerns that stem from 6 year old children running in the fountain area.

I know some people litter.

I also know it is a lovely day out, and it is one of my favorite places in the neighborhood, and that the crowds presently waiting to see the cherry blossoms at BBG would enjoy the fountain.

Thank you for your attention to this request.

  • Don't they wait until the weather stays above a certain temperature before they turn it on?

  • Yes.

However, it is in the 70s today.

We should not get below freezing again for months. It is fountain time!

  • May 9th: Fountain turned on.

This concludes this public service announcement
