Brooklyn Ink Spot?

Has anyone ever gotten a tattoo from Brooklyn Ink Spot? I"ve heard good things but prefer getting insight from someone who's actually used them. If not, any suggestions for tattoo shops in PH?

  • I did! It was almost 3 years ago when they were in the now Bella Greens space. Nice guys, chill vibe, talked and worked with me to put together a design I wanted. I LOVE my tattoo. Inexpensive to boot.

Just be really clear about what you want first as they get a lot of walkins that are for less-than-picky people I guess. I literally heard someone say "um, can you put something here" and pointed to shoulder, arm, etc. with no care what the tattoo was. Or just "can you put a sun here?"with no concern for what it looked like it seemed and just let the artist do his thing.

Here's my tattoo right after getting it done:

  • I didn't mean what I wrote to mean they just do whatever. Just that it seemed on the day I was there for almost 2 hours that most clients hadn't planned out a tattoo and it was crazy to me, but that's just me. Personally, I liked them a lot but it depends on what you're getting. Some artists are better at other things - talk to them, get some sketches, see how you feel. Good luck!

  • Thanks xlizellx for this insight! I have an exact idea of what I want and am very open to them putting their creative charm into it. Definitely going to get an estimate and sketch and take it from there. It's just so close to where I live which interested me in the first place.

  • Anyone been in Bella Greens lately? Every time I pass, no matter if its morning or night, weekend or weekday, I haven't seen them open. It's been a few weeks now. Beginning to wonder if they closed shop or I keep missing them

  • It seems Bella Greens has closed shop.

I have not seen them open recently either

  • there's a new tattoo shop in construction on vanderbilt next to nicko's barbershop, where Vanderbilt Design Build used to be. sign in the window says Fleur de Lis

  • Fleur de Lis is already closed and store for rent. They never had an online presence or advertised so not a surprise, but I think a good shop could survive in the area if done right.

  • There is a tattoo place on Washington, near the new Gino's pizza location, that seems to be doing ok.

Re; Fleur De lis tattoo, (the now closed placed on Vanderbilt) they briefly maintained (June - July) a facebook page https://www.facebook.com/fleurdelistattoo, but it certainly didn't have much activity.

So we can find this thread later, Fleur de lis tattoo business was at

    609 Vanderbilt
