Monday morning!
The weatherman says Spring is finally here [yeah right - he's been promising that for the past month]. Nice sunshine outside. Hopefully, this time the forecasts will be accurate, for once. Last night, channel 5 (the local ABC affiliate) played a series of phone calls made by people who were critical of the weatherman's inaccurate predictions - most asked whether he had ever graduated from grade school and recommended that he take up literacy for his own good.
Good to see that Warren has good news. My hope is may this be the same for all.

Hi everyone..watched Justin overnight, then just got home from a baby shower..today is Jessica & Steve's 1st Anniversary..can't believe 1 year already..was with Tina & Jessica at the shower-Tina is feeling better..may be IBS..thanks for the well wishes..in the 50's the next few days but 84 on Tues. & Wed...Congrats to Warren & Carol on their move..very exciting....next Sunday (May 19th) staying at Tina's house until May 24th...Tina, Scott, Jessica & Steve are going to Las Vegas for a vacation..want to wish everyone a very Happy Mother's Day tomorrow...talk to u soon...........

Hi Folks,
Been very busy packing and making arrangements for move. Closing is on the 29th but we took our apartment effective the 20th. Gives us some wiggle room. Will make several trips bringing stuff before and after the movers. Now we just have to hope that the closing goes smoothly. 8-[

Hope all is well for everyone.
Well, I managed to watch a few baseball & softball games many of which were made up in double headers.
Unfortunately, this is the last week of the final regular season and we've had rain for several days and expect more. Much more. Looks like I won't be able to make it to the playoffs.
Well, at least I can stay home and watch college games online.
Ah, such is life.

Hi-just got back from Tina's house...they had a nice vacation..but it rained in Chicago from Monday to Thursday..it was in the 50's..I'm exhausted..I need a vacation..but had so much fun with Justin..I'll be in bed by 9 tonite..LOL..relaxing tomorrow & Monday I'm meeting Jessica for lunch..then back to work like everyone else..hope everyone enjoys the Memorial Day Weekend..bye

Hello All,
We are in our new apartment. Ever tried putting 25 pounds of something in a 5 pound bag? We knew we were downsizing but still brought too much stuff. Especially for the kitchen. We only need to prepare one meal a day here and that will be a light lunch. Breakfast and dinner are provided. Clothes closets are tight also. Fortuneatly we have a locked storage area in the hall and that is quite large. Eventually we will probably get rid of half of what we put out there! Closing on the house is Wednesday so we have been over there a few hours a day cleaning up. Tomorrow morning the Auction house will take what we have left in the house. We will get a little money out of that but not much. Yesterday our old neighbors threw us a luncheon party ant one of the restauants in town. Nice of them.Here at the apartment they clean (mop, vacuum, wash the bed & bathroom linens and remake the bed. We will get very lazy and love every minute of it. Talk to you all soon. 8-[ -
A joyous Memorial Day one & all!
Well, weather is still a bit nippy here in the Twin Cities. But at long last, the regular season for scholastic baseball & softball is over. The schools played many double headers in order to make up for lost time. Because of that I actually watched more games this year than last. But the drawback is that the kids were overburdened with too many games at season's end. One coach said he feared that some of the kids would not appear for the playoffs because of fatigue. And, sad to say, I actually saw a kid tell his coach that he did not appear at a practice because of exhaustion. Hopefully, no one got injured because of all that stress and strain. The most important thing always being that the kids must have fun - ditto for their friends and fans.
With the start of the Memorial Day weekend, it's the unofficial start of Summer. And may it be a joyous & healthy one for all!

Richard it's a bit chilly here too although I'm not complaining...lol Going up to 87 on thursday, that's a big difference from the 60's we've been enjoying.

My son's graduation was so nice...they held it at the Izod center...what a big arena that was ..really niceWarren and Carol..wishing you all the best in your new place....it sounds wonderful
Anna glad you had fun with your grandson.....now I know what you mean...they are so much fun...my grandson is crawling all over,getting up and standing. I think he will be walking very soon now.
