Hi there,

Charlie, our 5-year old light-gray tuxedo cat (white belly), is missing. Here's a link to his photo:

Charlie is a timid guy so he may run if you approach him. But if you spot him please call me (212-203-3414) or my wife Andrea (530-574-2559).

Thank you.

Julien

  • Fido has good information on retrieving lost pets and will post your cat's picture.

The highlights for lost cats are flyers around the block in the doors of buildings with nearby yards. Apparently most lost cats are found very close to home, often in a neighboring cellar.

  • Thank you so much for that info!

  • Yeah, the basement/cellar areas are fave hideouts for scared/lost kitties. Go door to door around the block with fliers to hand out and ask if they can check their basements/yards.

Also, post fliers at subway entrances (union station for sure!) and at the local pet stores and vets. Good luck! Hoping you find Charlie soon!

  • In addition to posting lots of fliers and checking with local vets, also check with local rescue organizations, like Sean Casey, to see if anyone has contacted them about having found your Charlie. Also ACC to make sure he doesn't end up there. I'll keep my eyes open when I'm in that area for your kitty. I hope he comes home really soon!

  • I would also advise going door to door with a flyer for your neighbors with the cats picture and your contact info.

Also put up flyers are the nearest two vets, corner shops and pet stores.

Going around with a bag of treats in the early hours of the morning before people are up and calling his(her) name and listening for a response also helps.

  • Julien, any update on Charlie's whereabouts?
