The Trailer People Are Gone
For those that know what I'm referring to the people that lived in the trailer under the BQE for the last 5, maybe 6, years are gone.
They had become such a part of the scenery that I had to do a triple take to make sure my eyes weren't deceiving me when I didn't see the van & trailer parked in their usual spot.

Like the rest of us, they probably couldn't afford the rent increase.

Given the look of that trailer and van, I'm surprised they can afford gas.
I wonder if the vehicles were impounded for non payment of parking tickets, expired registration, and things like that.

I don't think they drove away in those vehicles and they never seemed to get parking tickets. A neighbor said he saw two flat beds on Park Avenue Thursday morning so their vehicles were probably loaded onto them and carted away.
I always wondered how long it would take the city to effectively evict them.
