At approx 10:30 PM, the media published the name of the deceased, Damien Powell:
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A man was found shot to death Sunday afternoon in a public housing development in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn.

They found Damien Powell, 25, lying at the scene with a gunshot wound to his torso.
Powell was taken to Kings County Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
There had been no arrests as of Sunday evening.
The Daily News is reporting that Mr. Powell was one of 25 people shot in NYC within the last 48 hours, and adds:
Damien Powell, 25, was killed after he was shot in the chest outside the Albany Houses in Crown Heights, sources and witnesses said. The victim’s mother collapsed at the scene, where shell casings littered the street, witnesses said.
