The classic excessive water (rain) comes into contact with electricity problem.

Fire is out. Power may be out to library. ....it is hard to tell.

Lots of traffic backed up on EP and around GAP.

  • Was walking to Slope this morning & noticed verge on new section of EP btwn museum & library was badly torn up by tire tracks. I kind of figured it was city business but I cldn't imagine why. Probably fire trucks!

  • Those tracks in the mud were not made by fire engines; they happened between 10 PM Friday and 9 AM Saturday.

It looks like someone weaved back and forth from EP onto the new median several times and almost got completely stuck at one point. This makes me think we had a combination of maleness, a SUV, and an intoxicant.

Regardless of whether my hypothesis is correct, I suspect the parks dept will repair the cosmetic damage next week, the median is getting its first tests....

  • They were made by an overly aggressive/overwhelming police response to a situation in one of the apartments on Eastern Pkwy.

  • It looks like they almost got stuck in the soft, new, muddy dirt.

    What was the situation?

  • removing a resident from an apartment. he had barricaded himself in. It's a long, long story.
