Subject: Stop 'Lawn Litter' in Brooklyn

Anybody know anything about this?
Hello,

We are offering a FREE srevice to help homeowners take advantage of the recently
passed Lawn Litter Law. NYC residents can now stop the daily barrage of menus and
advertising flyers.

I have attached our recent press release for your consideration.

Stay well,

  • Yes, I signed up a couple of days ago. It was easy and it's completely free.

They send you a self-adhering weatherproof sign that meets the requirements of the new law. They also send your street address to participating advertising distributors to tell them to stop littering your property.

I think it may take a while before the advertisers pay attention, just like when the no smoking laws first passed. But the lawn litter fines are pretty good, $250 per piece of litter. So as soon as a big retailer gets hit with $25,000 in fines I'm sure all the distributors will start paying attention.

Probably the best thing to do is get as many homes registered as possible, so those signs are everywhere. That way at least the distributors will know they'll get complaints from lots of homeowners.
  • Hi. I am having a problem. I want this sign but when I try to go to the link I get this error.

  • Fyi, for $1 or $2 you can obtain a similar (but not identical) and equally effective sign at Tarzian Hardware in Park Slope, and probably at other shops in Brownstone Brooklyn as well.
