125 years at 1372 Dean Street — Brooklynian

125 years at 1372 Dean Street

An article in today's NYT traces the history of a local brownstone, which provides an summary of the changes the neighborhood has gone through over the time period.

It also contains the names of people I know....

  • This is a great article and study of North Crown Heights.

  • While by NYC standards $1.3M is a bargain, I do wonder if most NYT readers understand this article in light of "how east" that area was until very recently.

This brownstone is between Brooklyn and Kingston. While remaining in the same place, it is becoming less East.

"People are beginning to know people who live there...."

  • Sept 14:

I am told it sold for 1.320M, 20k over the asking price.
