Good local pedicure
Hey neighbors, any rec's or thoughts on pedicures in Park Slope? Yelp reviews weren't very helpful and I've had all of two pedicures ever.
My feet need a really good scrubbing more than anything, but I'm not opposed to a foot massage (they do that sometimes, right?) and a good polish job. Where should I go and how much should I expect to spend?

I don't know the name but I like the place next to S'Nice (5th Ave between 2nd & 3rd Street). I treat myself to a Spa pedicure (includes 10 minute foot massage). Depending on what you do I believe the price is between $20-$30 (but I honestly can't remember)

My friends and I like Lin Li on 7th and Berkeley. They meet my criteria of not too expensive, clean and massaging chairs. When I first moved to Brooklyn I tried out a few places and settled on this place. This place is solid.

I live in South Slope off 7th Ave, so most places I've gone to are in that area. My favorites and the ones that have become my regular places is the one on 7th btw 14th and 15th (wow I've been there at least 10 times and can't even recall the name!!!) and Romy's on 7th between 10th and 11th. Romy's is a tad cheaper and if you spring for the Special pedicure they do a special scrub and callous removal. Both are great though...the one btw 14th and 14th has massage chairs AND the nail tech gives you a few minute shoulder massage while you are letting your nails dry. Love both those places.

Reporting back.
7th Ave and 14th St. It was okay and only $19.
7th Ave and 4th St. Great foot massage with the spa pedicure, nice job on applying polish.
7th Ave and Union (7 sisters or whatever it's called) slow service, good view, solid pedi with good polish jobNone of them really did a good job scrubbing my feet, even when I paid for the better/more scrubbing pedicure. I'm planning to try some more places and will report back. I'm still looking for one that really scrubs all the dry skin off of my feet (I get a lot of mild frostbite which leaves me with thick layers of dead skin).

No question: Lin Li. Very professional, nice and inexpensive.

Lin Li it is, next time! If I can find a spot good enough, I want to make my bf get his feet scraped

Hey OpposumQueen - did you ever find a pedicure with a good scrubbing? I'm looking for the same thing!

I like Lin Li!

I never found a favorite spot, unfortunately. My dermatologist did recommend a good lotion for my feet: amlactin. I've found it at Rite Aid but get the purple tube, not the green. Slather it on and put on socks before bed for some relief.
