Did you lose your dark blue Saab 93S

People from out of state sometimes think they can just park their car on the street and forget about it. I met someone who parked her car outside of her apartment thought it was far enough from a fire hydrant and left it. She went out to find it a few days later and discovered it got ticketed and towed.
-
Its been in the same spot since before Labor Day. I was thinking that it may have been relocated when they were doing the repaving of Nostrand, but its been long enough that I would have thought someone would have found it by now.
-
I wonder if the parking agent took the time to see whether the plates match the VIN.
If the plates don't match the VIN, the car is towed.
...however, the agents don't have a big drive to check this, because the more tickets they write, the closer they are to meeting their quota.

-
whynot I wondered if someone dumped it. Then I realized it was a Saab. Who the heck would steal a Saab? Unless of course you're a really cunning criminal who wants a very pedestrian getaway car with some horses in it.
-
I wondered if it had been stolen as well, simply because it doesn't seem to have anything in the way of personal items in it. No envelopes on the floor, no trash, nothing. But then, like you I couldn't figure out who would do that.

My sense is that Saab's are really liked by suburban Dentists.
Perhaps we should repost this thread here?

Perhaps here would be a better place...
-
True, it does have North Carolina plates.
I would feel sad if this Saab ended up in the same condition as the van I wanted to use for our
Brooklynian A-Team

Maybe we could use the Saab to carpool to the next dental convention?
-
Well, the dentist do have laughing gas! :drunken:
Actually, the car is in very good condition other than being covered in dust and electioneering flyers...
-
If they are Bill DeBlasio and Tish James flyers, the campaign workers appear to have done their homework:
Saab and Volvo owners also lean left and vote in large percentages, though not by as wide a margin.

I'll bring the chips and the tunes. Whynot brings the drinks and navigates. We do seem to be a couple posters short of a full car though.
-
So you're planning to steal this car and take it on a joyride? And you're using Brooklynian to find coconspirators?
Please turn your collective fantasies in a less felonious direction!

Booklaw, despite any intentions we may (or may not) have, rest assured, the city will get this car long before us.

Howdy, Stranger!
