Dry Cleaner recommendations — Brooklynian

Dry Cleaner recommendations

Hey all,

I need to drop off an extremely nice suit and a couple cashmere sweaters to be dry cleaned. I was wondering If any one could recommend a dry cleaners between Franklin and Nostrand. Yelp really hasn't been all the helpful. Any idea what the going rate for drycleaning my items would be? Thanks a bunch!

  • Ms Whynot goes to the one on Underhill, by Blue Marble. She thinks they do a good job, and likes looking at their aquarium.

  • I'm happy with the ones on Franklin and Lincoln. I get my suits cleaned there regularly.

  • I'm going to go out on a limb and tell you to travel to the Upper East Side. If it's a very well made suit and you have cashmere, you should go to Hallak Cleaners. They are pricey and they are slow: but they do an incredible job. I have had my Paul Stuart suits and Shirt Shop dress shirts very well attended to there.

  • Highly recommend HMS cleaners on Franklin between Lincoln Pl and St. Johns (next door to Barboncino). They're a bit on the expensive side, but extremely reliable and a wonderful family business. The owners are very sweet people who I've gotten to know over the past 5.5 years that I've been in the neighborhood. I would not bring alterations there, but for dry cleaning, they're the best local option by far.

  • I use Martini Cleaners on Franklin. Recently dropped off 6 items and my bill is $30, which I think it pretty fair. Their turn around time is great as well and my items always look spotless. I have used HMS in the past, but Martini seems a bit cheaper to me.

  • I agree with grantsquare. HMS Cleaner is the best on Franklin. They have never let me down. I go there regularly.

  • Thanks all to HMS Cleaners I go!
