They appeared at tonight's CB8 SLA mtg, and described themselves as far more than just a coffee place that also wants to serve beer and wine.
IE, they stated they would offer a full dinner menu, featuring small plates of meat and veggie dishes. The menu will change regularly.
They will seat no more than 45 people. They will open early (7 AM!) and will close at 10 PM Mon - Thur, and at midnight on Fri and Sat.
...and the committee supported them moving forward with said request for a beer and wind lic.

Note the unique-for-the-area menu items.

I think he's right that there's a market for it. There's gator on the menu at Catfish, boar at Cent'Anni, and the one time I tried to eat at Island Thyme they were closed for a special GluttNY event called "Eat It Before It Eats You" with stingray and barracuda. I'm interested to see how the Caribbean influence plays out in the food.

As I listened to them speak at the meeting, I could not help but think that this was a huge number of hours to be open.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and after dinner.
....rent must be paid.
