I think the Soul Food place was a drunken description mistake on my part - apparently it's to be a Jamaican place? upscale? at the Half location.

Mexican at St. Marks & Vandy

    yay!
  • Korean BBQ??? When, where? will they have bibimbop as well? I would be overjoyed to have Korean in the neighborhood.
  • Arielb, Korean restaurant "Noona" had a reception last night, it's on the corner of Pacific ad Vanderbilt. I got to try 3 of the dishes, some pork/beef dumplings, a vegetable pancake of sorts, and a "stew" of beef and chestnuts that was to die for!!! They will be open for service on September 12th. :)

BTW, Noona means "older sister" in Korean.

Awesome! I can't wait! And I'm totally jealous of you for getting the first try. I will definitely be there on Sept 12th!

damn sounds good. hehe i'm very jealous.
  • Alafairnadia, Mrs. C and I just went by to check the place (Noona) out and it looks great. The menu and space are appealing and the prices look reasonable. I hope they can get enough traffic in that location (although maybe it'll help them get some business from Fort Greene residents).

FYI: The sign on the door says that Noona opens on September 13th, not the 12th.
