I need to see things in real life before I buy them. Crawl out of your cave and model it at happy hour! :D

people have always teased me on the subject of 'grannycartism' ... lots of people ... so i've never gotten one ... i personally have no problem with them ... i've dreamed of getting one ... many many times ... but no, my fear of mockery by my peers is too strong ... so my question is ... why chose a granny cart as an image to represent prospect heights ...

    :?:  :? :P

I guess I don't have the fear of mockery

Plus, to me, they're essential in this neighborhood.

  • I also have a PH neighboorhoodie - it says simply Underhill (and thus serves simultaneously as an obscure LOTR reference!)

And moogoogaipan - you totally can put your add your own graphic onto a neighborhoodie, its super easy. You upload in the order section. Not cheap, but easy.
  • Haha. Curbed picked up the shirt.

    Ha! That's funny.

My next shirt is currently being designed. It incorporates the two following things:

    1) chicken
    2) "lock you doors".

    Stay tuned.
  • oh good, a new shirt. I'm not a granny cart person -- not up 4 flights of stairs. no way, no how. :)
  • i took the liberty of designing one, too. I flickr'ed it:

The graphic has nothing whatsoever to do with the nabe, save for the profusion of bars and our propensity to hit them up.
  • so it looks like Neighborhoodies is looking for tee shirt designs!!!
you should submit the granny cart design.
    you could win 100 bucks!!

In other news, I made a sweatshirt through cafepress and it should look pretty sweet. when I get it, I'll wear it to happy hour and brag.
  • Those shirts were pretty hilarious for sure.
  • I think we need to have the granny cart with the words this is how we roll - I would definitely want one! Brooke you should talk to Muk about this :)
  • Won't be long now before someone in the neighborhood is sporting the granny cart shirt...they have been purchased.
  • Any chance of getting these t-shirts still?
  • Here a Prospect Heights logo I designed to sport my Footprint pride:

CafePress is a bit pricier than I'd like it to be, but if you want your own tote or shirt or mug or magnet, here is my shop:

  • saw this a few weeks ago on the sartorialist blog and thought it had sort of an anti-park slope message to it.
