crazy motorcycle driving kids!

I cannot believe there are not more fatal accidents with the crazy motorcycle young guys who weave in and out of traffic and squeeze between cars on the BQE, Prospect Expressway and last night on the FDR. I cringe when these kids cut me off going much much faster then any of the cars. I also hear them racing on the Prospect Expressway late at night. If you are one of these guys--please!! I used to work in an ER, dying would be the best outcome you could hope for in a motorcycle vs. car accident on a highway!

oh man, yeah. I went to a BBQ a few years ago in bed stuy - I don't really remember where cause it was before I moved to brooklyn, but I know I took the A there and everyone said I was in bed stuy. in any case, when I left and was walking back to the A train, I saw a motorcycle accident and the motorcyclist's helmet had flown off. his head was ... pulp. I have always been hesitant to consider riding on motorcycles and scooters, but that incident has stuck in my head. oh, a car had run a red light and hit the motorcycle, leading to the accident. so it wasn't necessarily that the motorcycle driver was a bad driver - he just had totally crap luck.
  • Yeah, a few years ago I saw some guy riding like a real jerk crash on PPW...he was hurt, but not bad enough so that I wasn't kinda thinking, "Serves you right, fool." But bad enough so that I didn't laugh out loud.
