Flatbush Farms
This place is slowly becoming my local - the beer and wine selection is fantastic. The munchies are even yummier still. The bartenders are super nice and I understand that they just hired a chef for the restaurant half. The menu isn't going to be terribly elaborate. They're going to focus on getting the basics down and right. Lots of organic, fresh, yummy-goodness.
So, if you were wondering about this place, I'd say, go on in.

yeah ... we had a happy hour there a few weeks ago (and now that you're on the board, you can come to the next one ... though you already know me and Carnivore and Mrs. C, but still ...)

I have to go back to that place.

in the old location of st. marks bistro - st. marks & flatbush on the PS side. -
flatbush farm kicks plush luscious butt!
except for that fugly sign
plus they allow dogs in their patio whilst one gets blottoed

Love the place, love the owner, love the drinks/food and actually, love the sign. What do other people think about the sign? I really hope this place lasts, especially since I live around the corner. My only hesitation about going there is that the few times that I have been in there the vibe has been EXTREMELY mellow. Is that the norm for this spot?

Flatbush, of course. I just told that joke last night.

Give JoshB a cigar.

Love the place but think the bar food is lacking. I like the artichoke dip but some of the dishes are a little wacky. I think they are trying too hard for the food to be unique. But I am happy to go just to drink cause it has such a nice vibe...

That property is jinxed. They should close up now and save themselves the trouble. Plus, the food is so-so, and the atmosphere is undefined, lacking a clear identity. Who knows, maybe they'll work it out over there.

it's convenient. and the vibe is great. real low key
feels like jazz music should be playing it's so suave...
was just there again monday night. nice spinach salad with figs, gorgonzola and walnuts
mexican style corn on the cob. and an unusual appy of salmon with beets on bread :-s
i figure since i like the place
it's up to me to spread the word and help give it a boost
they open up the restaurant on the 20th. with no clear direction on the menu
perhaps some santeria is in order?
just to be on the safe side

Anybody know if FF (the restaurant part) serves weekend brunch?
I was at the bar last week for late-night snacks and wine and found it yummy, reasonably priced, and the bartenders were sweet. -
Subject: great drinks
i like flatbush farm. they have a pretty good beer selection, a great wine selection, and some awesome cocktails. the gin fizzy was good and the mo'stormy was awesome (especially if you like ginger and mint). the homemade limoncello was also excellent. it was kind of a slow vibe at first (for a thursday night) but it picked up and the bartender was really nice. i think this could become a really great neighborhood bar if people support it.
