Parking spots in Columbia Waterfront Area? — Brooklynian

Parking spots in Columbia Waterfront Area?

I have posted the same thing in the new B61 board, so I apologize if you're seeing this twice. But the Columbia Waterfront Area seems to exist a bit betwixt and between.

I have been happily street parking for the last few years, but circumstances are changing in my life and I need to regular parking spot in the area. I see lots everywhere, but nobody ever seems to know how to get in touch with the landlords. I've even stopped people getting out of their cars, but they never have the contact information on them, and for some reason they are reluctant to give me their numbers so I can follow up (or even take mine!).

Does anyone have any tips? Or better yet contact information for the lot owners for any of the following:

Tiffany Place at Kane.
Kane between Hicks and Columbia.
Hicks between Degraw and Sackett.
Kane at Strong Place.

Any others?

Any help would be appreciated.

The building with parking lots on Tiffany st. are part of the co-ops there. I believe you'd have to be a resident to get one. I know the super in one of those buildings and he said there's a long waiting list for those spots and that you have to "buy" a spot for $30,000 - and that was as of several years ago, I'm sure it's gone up in price since then.
    good luck!!

If you find one and there is another next to it, let me know! We are in process of obtaining an apartment in that area and this building has no parking. We are willing to buy or rent...
  • The (closed) pharmacy on the corner of Columbia and Union has a flyer in the window for spots in a nearby parking lot...
  • related question:

how do you all feel about Columbia Waterfront now being called North Red Hook? It's a little easier on the mouth to say, but I'm not entirely sure I like it.. reminds me of South Park Slope - except it's actually kinda cool over here in the Waterfront, and a little sketchy in SPS.

Hi.. I'm new here.. stumbled on the board while floating on the web and I'm excited to talk all things Brooklyn!
