  • Have you ever checked out that site? It changes almost daily and is pretty damn funny.

(note:ignore the ugly couches/blanket in my house. They have since changed appearance)

Another great kitty site is www.kittenwar.com

Hey, I like that blanket. I thought it had a cool vintage look about it.
  • I don't know where I put it, but if I find it, you can have it!

It's actually an Ikea "Ren" on top of a wooden bench. :D

Edit: I actually just checked the Ikea site, and it looks like the Ren has been discontinued in favor of the slightly larger version of the same thing, the Ludde:

  • Ooh, those are some way-handsome guys.
  • WhyFi's explanation of how to post a picture was so clear, that I split it off and made it a sticky on the Board Administration board for future reference.

  • Thanks, WiFi (and Carnivore).

Let's try these pics of my Glow Worms (last one is my Mom's cat):

  • Edit: Nevermind.....That was weird. First I got the URL, then the pics showed up. I went to edit it and the pics were there.
  • Flexichick wrote: FUCK!
I fixed them for you. You had a ?v=0 after the .jpg that shouldn't have been there.

Ah, that's what I was going to go take out, and when I tried, it was gone. Now I know why! Not sure why that was added.

Not your fault - something that should have been mentioned - doesn't work with Flickr thumbnails - you can either delete everything after '.jpg' or click the thumbnail preview then copy the location.
  • Natural Heights has a new, full-time resident - her name is Ivy. Ivy had some hard times on the streets of Brooklyn, as evident from her battle wounds and tail (most of her tail had to be amputated), but we'll be exchanging food and tons of affection for her mouse deterrent attributes! She's pretty shy, but once she warms up to you, it's nothing but love.

That's the Late, Great, Phantom Menace (aka Lola Falana), who now (unfortuanately) is a true phantom :-(
  • Ivy is a beauty. I think you got the better end of the deal!

Oscar trying to be buddies with Merlin..... Merlin (blind) finally realises there's a cat nearby and lashes out.....
  • yeah, it says 'photo unavailable' :(
  • I tried it without adding "img" and now you can at least see it - not sure why I seem to make this so complicated...
  • How long have they been together? And how does Merlin cope with being blind?
  • Merlin had minimal vision when we got him @ 8 weeks (he's now nearly eight) .... seemed to disappear quickly (vets say he has no blood vessels to his retina). He learned his way round our old apartment by following the edge of a rug and then seemed to memorize routes. Quickly learned to climb up me and sit on my shoulder and explore just like a normal cat - favorite tricks include pushing the phone off the table and playing the messages on the answer machine. Also, if he's not getting enough attention, he'll climb onto a window ledge and push picture frames off until stopped.

We got Oscar 3 years ago as a 6-month old kitten. All he wanted to do was make friends and play... unfortunately, playing involved pouncing on a cat who couldn't see and didn't know how to respond..... So now they mostly tolerate each other - Oscar sometimes freezes if Merlin bumps into him, but Oscar also gets very jealous and will pounce on Merlin when he thinks I'm not looking - the weird thing is, when he's about to pounce, he always starts to make this peculiar howling sound.... which means I can usually intervene. I really wish we'd got 2 cats at the same time....

Thank you.... I'm taking a lot of comfort from the fact that I'm not the only cat fanatic.... I could "ooh" and "aah" over other people's cat pics for days..... Erikka also has a lot to answer for in introducing some of us to Cuteoverload.com too
