acupuncturist - recommendations?
I hruptured a disk in my back two weeks ago, and it has been so painful that I haven't even been able to go to work.
My doctor recommended trying acupuncture to help with the pain from sciatica.
A friend also mentioned that when her back went out a few years ago, she got relief from acupuncture. I'm skeptical but figure that there is no harm in trying it.
Anybody here know of a really good acupuncturist? Can you recommend someone?
Thanks!!!

Dr. Rong-Sheng Lin in Chinatown is great. The place is pretty well known in the area though and can get packed with walk-ins. I know people who have traveled from as far away as Philadelphia to see him.
The address is 40 Elizabeth St., Suite 408 NY, NY 10013 (corner of Canal and Elizabeth). 212-334-9117. The english of the staff and Dr. isn't great but it's good enough. -

Subject: Accunpuncturist
Zoe Kogan and Billy Villano are wonderful accunpuncturists - they are on Berkeley, right across the street from the elementary school between 5th and 6th Aves. They were the only ones who were able to help me with my pinched nerve, and I've recommended many people since then - everyone loves them. -
I hope that you are feeling better, have you ever tried Reiki? I am a stage 4 cancer survivor, Reiki was very helpful in my healing. I loved it so much, I am now a practioner. Go on-line do some research, call me if you are interested in having a session.

I also went to Dr. Rui Lian He ("Dr Ho" -- as it's pronounced)

Thats who I mentioned earlier in this thread. Her company is called doraji and her website is www.doraji.com
I've been having acupuncture for a LONG time and Hae Jung is the best acupuncturist I've ever been to. I believe she comes from four generations of acupuncturists and MDs. She is also very intuitive - she can tell what is REALLY going on with you emotionally as well as physically, picking up on things even your closest family don't know. On top of all that, she is very FUNNY -
Does anyone know anything about "Sunshine Best Body Work" Qi Gong Tui-Na on Park Place around the corner from Gorilla?
-
Yes, I know about Sunshine. I know that if you make an appointment there, it is unlikely that the acupuncturist will actually be there when you show up for your appointment. Happened to me twice.

Hae Jung Park's website is
www.dorajiacupuncture.com
339 7th st corner of 5th ave.
