greg @ total
he knows his wines & foods and is willing to let you taste. plus he's got great musical taste and is a fun person to talk to. -
edward at yamato is amazing, as is michael at blue ribbon.
benjamin at applewood, although a host not a waiter, is also top-notch. -
I like the girls at La Taqueria - Brenda and Diana. You can always count on them after a long day.

in no particular order
* guy with big moustache at convivium; nice charming man
* greg at total wine bar: just a good smart guy, needs no explanation
* ella at wherever she's working now: sexy and charming
* nino at pepperoncino: nice charming man, we always talk about nalgas
* kim at johnny mack's: nice and charming -

i was coming back from the park once. with my dog.
and I went to check out their menu
and the waitress comes running out
"you're not gonna bring that dog in with you?!!!"
me: "no. i'm just checking out your menu"
my dog gave her the finger and i promised her never to go in there =;
that. and plus it's on hallowed ground
the old blah blah lounge used to be there =D> -
I loved the Blah Blah Lounge!
Sadly, I tend to eat out in Manhattan so much that no real favorites come to mind. The bartenders at Blue Ribbon are fun, but I can't remember their names.
Owen at Great Lakes (or was it Loki) was fun, but he's not there any more.
That said, I'm going to keep a lookout for all of these people when I go out....I think somebody owes me a steak dinner
-
the Blah Blah was great
i spent so much money i couldn't afford there
and killed so many brain cells i didn't have
and the coolest part was
the same comedian you saw there on a wednesday night
you'd see a few days later as a receptionist at some store on 5th ave
i really hope Cosmo decides to reopen it
that would be more than awesome
these young kids these days don't know about the blah blah... -

I'll take great food anyday over a "Wine 101" menu. And the love letters under glass were just a bit much. Any restaurant of this caliber that supports the "slow food" movement and is dedicated to regional farmers and locally grown produce deserves support.
And didn't we all have a nice talk already about the misuse of the word gay? -

Yep - in 2003 - in the interest of supporting singer/songwriters - I went to hear Patrick McKeown and Aviv Roth, but other times I thought it what was presented as acts was/were lame. -

ah yes. aviv. he wrote a blah blah theme song
it still rings in my brain every now and then
it was an acquired taste i guess
if you liked blah blah. you loved it
if you didn't. you preferred fine wines
to each his own.

Whoever's the babe/waitress of the month at Taro. Kind of hard to have a favorite isn't it? The jobs have such a high rollover.

The woman who works the floor with short hair at Mango. She looks like she works very hard and is always nice to demanding diners like me.

D'André at The Halal place on 4th ave.
or
