right-oh, mama!
are you gonna get a muffaletta while you're there, Alafairnadia? -
I might. I'm not into some of the meats they put on traditional muffaletta, though. but I do intend to eat lots.
eating is good, right mamita? -
Not Mamacita, but eating IS good... so good that I look like I'm about to become a mama, myself...
Does GPL still have that $20 CC minimum, Alafairnadia? I could use one (1) bottle of Sigura Viudas... -
okay, you're talking about Spanish bubbly, but the rest of that is a mystery. Except your pregnancy, which is charming comedy.
Astor Wines has Central Italy as their 15% off Tuesday sale tomorrow.

What's your Chianti Classico forcast, WhyFi? -
not WhyFi, but Villa Caffaggio is one of my personal favorites.

what do you recommend, pitu? -
I went through a Chianti phase some years back. I used to have a favorite, but I don't even remember what it was... Now I'm likin' bubbly and stinky pinot, not that I know that much about them... they have good wine tastings over at Astor Wines, pitu? I gotta buy wine more often - they're good for you.
-
ah. the chianti phase. morphing into the merlot phase. i remember it well
more of a reisling fan these days. what about u MK? -

yes, it does, sadly. and if you really love your segura viudas, check online. you can get it from some local wine stores for around $6 or $7 a bottle plus a case discount. and almost everyone delivers to brooklyn now.

I keep meaning to go to that place in the E.Vill that specilaizes in Spanish wine . . .
Nero D'Avola, red juice of Sicilia, is our house wine. It's at Astor but I won't recommend it since, the last case we got of it wasn't as great as the first case we got of it.
Which explains why it went on sale for $7.99/bottle.
When I find a good $10 bottle of wine, I'm on it! I bought a bottle there for $8.99 that I just saw in Brooklyn for $13.99. Dang . . .
Astor *does* have good tastings (hooch and wine), and 15% off Tuesdays region by region. That's only for still wine.
I use these sales to broaden my knowledge...yeah baby!
What you drinkin' this am WhyFi?

Eminently Cool?? 8)
The main thing moderators do is set the tone for the board by being eminently cool, fair, and level-headed.
Hee hee!
I'm real nerd, how about you Carny?
-
nerd? who? NOT ME. couldn't be. then who?
etc
right carny? -
What's with the new odd avatars?
Carnivore, you next...wait, or pitu? -
wait, what? that's a picture of me in the badlands. I accidentally replaced my old avatar a few months ago with that picture, but quite a bit larger so I could *gasp* potentially be recognized by casual ... readers. but I like the pic so I made it tinier and am now using it here. hurrah.
-
(what's that you say? pitu next?)
yes! hello!
Q, will you change your avatar next? We miss Kika.... -
Not Q.
How ya like me now, pitu? -

right shish? -
i dunno. that BK makes me feel all funny inside.
then again, i don't like clowns, either.
what do you say, pitu? -
oh dear. I've never had that fear of clowns. I just think they're idiots. isn't that healthy, carny?
-
so sad, now I have to hate Carny, who I like. But now I hate.
I don't mind clowns. The choppy motion thing is vomitous.
WhyFi, why? -
pitu wrote: so sad, now I have to hate Carny, who I like. But now I hate.
It probably has something to do with the disagreement between your eyes and your inner ear - one is telling you that you're experiencing violent motion, the other that you're steady as a rock...

WhyFi, why?
Or maybe you had some IKEA meatballs last night?
Which would you place your money on, 'tea? -
meatballs. sorry, no tea here.
right pitu?
