  • So much work so little time, but I can't wait till Friday!

    WhyFi, enjoy the beautiful day!
  • my treo 680 broke so ... I woke up at 11 a.m. for work today. a bit late I'd say. and, of course, they couldn't call me. I think I'm downgrading from teh awesomeness of treo and upgrading to the dependability of a cheap-ass flip fone that doesn't die all the time.

does anyone have any recs for hardcore programmable alarm clocks? I have to wake up at different times every day (let's not discuss my absurd mental health schedule) and left to my own devices, I'll fuck it up. like, er, this morning when I didn't wake up b/c my cell phone decided to die.

    what do you think, whyfi?
  • Unless a clock with 2 alarm times is hardcore enough for you, I don't know of anything that would suit your needs... other than a house elf ala Dobby.

Can you think of anything, 'tea?
  • My basic flip phone has the option of setting many alarm clocks, but my second cell doesn't. You can find one to suit your needs.

Sweet tea, seeing you on Friday?
  • I hope so. I'm way too dependant on butler. fuck. I kinda want to cry.

and no, I'm not sweet tea. right, whyfi?
  • No Why Fi here. Sorry 'bout your technological woes, Alfy.
What's the deal for Friday, shishkab?
  • pathetically, I think the solution to my problem is getting up at the same time every day and, when I'm not having a mental health day, I need to ... go for a walk around prospect park. *shudder*
    exercise is death.

    thoughts, mamita?
  • I'm not the figure of health myself. But I have been thinking about taking walks on the weekends. Say for instance, a nice long walk over to the Red Hook ballfields, ehm, food stalls..

    Right Sweet Tea!
  • walking to food makes sense. walking for walking's sake? not so sure.

give me arepas or give me death!

    righ whyfi?
  • Actually, it's me and, as it turns out, lately my lazy ass has been walking about a mile and a half a day, after work. And if I can...

    You a walker, shish?
  • You know, I was just thinking...
Damn, we're all Carnivore's bitches for getting hooked on this thread.

    What's up with that Pitu!?
  • The first post is free!!!

    Then I turn you out...

    Right AFN?
  • Wrong , you pimp daddy you!

I just got off work at 5:40pm , I have been awake since 1pm yesturday.

I am so tired.....my feet ache , I was on that train at 6am sharp....I got there at 6:40am too early , and my boss showed up late at 7:30am....nice guy though.

I don't have to work tomorrow , so I am gonna go knock out after my obligations are fulfilled....which will be by 9:30pm.

BigGuy , where you at ?
  • not BG, but i thought i'd check in. hope you have a wonderful and deeply restful sleep, Em -- you've had a looooong day.

i love walking, Mr Keys. seriously. i find that if i walk to my destination, unless it's humid out i arrive in a really chipper mood. if i walk home from somewhere, i find that i'm very relaxed mentally -- i have to do a lot of multitasking in my line of work, and it can be quite stressful at times. if i walk before i get home, even if i'm physically tired from the day, i leave most of that stress and nastiness behind and don't bring it home with me.

are you enjoying your walks home, Mr Keys?
  • Yes I am, shish.
    What up, Mama?
  • Not Mama.

    But WhyFi is next.
  • Yes sir...

Man, my days off are brutal - I think that I'm going to have to avoid them for a little while!

Going to the Home Electronics 2007 show this weekend, BG?
  • not BG -- and i'm thinking mamacita's notion of a walk to delicious red hook sounds more my speed this weekend....

i'll see you tomorrow, but it won't be the same without shisky! shishkab, why are you forsaking us?
  • Ready for the BB Smack Down tomorrow WhyFi?
  • Yeah, WhyFi, are you? (I'm not.)
  • Nope , Whyfi is too busy practicing how to play air hockey so he doesn't embarrass himself tomorrow.

I have awoken from my deep peaceful sleep....it was interupted by that guy that I married because I accidently locked him out , so I awoke to the damn door bell , I was so out of it , he said he was ringing it and knocking for a while.

Alafair , ready for tomorrow? You have a designated home walker? :)
  • "...that guy that I married..."

Who says romance is dead, eh?
    Right, shish?
  • Not shish.

Em, you had to marry the guy just because you locked him out?

I'm not familiar with this custom.

    Enlighten us, doctorj...
  • LOL Carnivore!

Naw , I married him because he was too damn fine to say no to....plus I was 22 , so I had to get that part of my life over with.

C'mon MichealKeys , some men refer to their wives as "the ball and chain".

    Anyhoo , I was kidding.

    Shishkab next!
  • WRONG!!!
ShishK is locking up her can o' chicken for the night.

    Sweet Ham where are you!!!!!!!
  • I have now walked others home (!!! which actually is generally normal for me b/c I live past most of the other DH folks) post my er ... questionable drinking practices requiring several escorts. and no worries, I plan to pad my tummy with chicken rings BEFORE the booze flows. that prevents the "omg, AFN is fucking WASTED" thing.
  • Seeing your last line involved getting wasted,
I will assume you're guess is "the next person to post will be getting wasted"

    In that case, Hellooo!
    See ya tonight, right Keys?
  • It looks that way, Mama.
Are you bringing your "ball and chain", Em?
  • Correct MK !

No , he is too busy working.

Also , he would think meeting up with people you met online is unsafe.

So far the people I've met from this forum are cool , funny , damn good lookin' , kinda normal.....but not insane freaks.

    Ain't that right , Carnivore?
  • well, ya haven't met sweet ham yet, now have you?

    mwah-hah-hah.

BigGuy will vouch for my evility.
