they totally woke me up. So effen loud. I mentioned them in the thread entitled 5th ave union and sackett. What happened? Does anyone know? -
What was going on? I assume it was something in the park, as I am only a half a block away on 7th. Haven't been able to find any info online about it.
-
woke me up too - I assumed it was traffic report news 'copters hovering for their live shots
-
I've been hearing them the last two nights. My neighbor said they woke him up at 6:00 a.m. today but luckily I slept through that.
-
6:10am for me
they were LOUD -
They were at 4th ave and 6th street , a car had fliped over.

-
probably the tv news helicopters they always out that ealier watching the traffic.
-
Ive been hearing them on and off for the last month, i'm by 14th and 7th ave. And its been increasingly more and more these days.
I know theres been a murder or two in the area and god knows what else..... -
No way these were just traffic copters--they were flying waaaaay too low in a residential area.
Speaking of things not making the news--I was surprized how un-news-worthy the huge fire on Prospect Av/4th was----I drove by late Thanksgiving night and saw it firsthand, but couldn't find anything in the news except here: http://www.gothamist.com/archives/2006/11/24/huge_fire_at_pr.php -
I heard them last night (in WT near the park) at around 11. Can't somebody design stealth copters?

yeah i was wondering about that too, I heard all of the fire trucks and they were alot of them going there. Didn't smell any of it. And just channel 5 had a video someone took of it but from far away. Was it just the tire place that went up or more?
